Saving See how

Save from the share sheet	From the share button in Safari and elsewhere. The save finishes the moment you tap it.
Tags and notes in the share sheet	Add them on the spot, right after saving. Tapped it by mistake? “Undo” takes it back.
Paste a copied URL	From the button at the top right of the list.
Title fetched afterwards	The page title is fetched after the item is already saved.
Thumbnail fetched afterwards	The page image (og:image) is shown only when there is one.
Page text fetched afterwards	The start of the page text (up to 4,000 characters) is stored too, so search can find it. See how
Favicons	So you can tell at a glance which site an item came from.
Publication date	Shown when the article has one. The date you saved it is never used as a stand-in.
Duplicate detection	Tracking parameters and a difference of www. are ignored, so it counts as the same page.

Digging it out See how

Search	Titles, URLs, tags, notes, and page text, all at once.
Recent searches	The last five searches you ran are offered as suggestions.
Narrow by tag	Tap a tag above the list and only that tag remains.
Tabs	All / Favorites / Unread. Whichever you pick is still there next time.
Unread mark	Opening an item marks it read. You can set it back from the edit screen.
Favorites	Tap the star at the top left of a card. Also in the press-and-hold menu.
Ask	Ask in plain words about what you have collected and how the app works. Follow-up questions take the previous exchange into account. It runs on the device and sends nothing out. See how
Summarize an article	“Summary”, from the press-and-hold menu. It reads that page's text and nothing else. Meant for deciding whether to read it. See how
Follow-up about the article	After the summary you can keep asking about that article. The answers rest on that article's text alone; nothing else you saved is mixed in.
Article conversations are kept	The five most recent article conversations stay on the device. Open them from the Ask screen. They are not sent to iCloud.

Tidying up See how

Edit the title	For when the fetch failed, or the page handed over a strange title.
Tags	As many as you like. Tags you have used before are suggested. Upper and lower case count as the same.
Rename and delete tags	From “Mute” in Settings, a tag can be renamed or removed across every item at once. Deleting a tag does not delete the bookmarks. See how
Notes	Write down why you saved it. Notes are searchable.
Reordering	Drag with a finger. Only while the whole list is shown.
Fetch again	Send the app back out for a title it could not get the first time.
Thumbnail, one item	Turn the image off for just this item.
Thumbnails, all at once	Turn thumbnails off across the list, from “Display” in Settings.

Opening See how

Open inside the app	Tap to open; closing it puts you back at the same spot in the list.
Open in Reader	Shows just the text, without ads or clutter. On by default, and switched off under “Display” in Settings. Pages that do not support it open as usual.
Open in the browser	Pages that need a login or an extension go to Safari, from the press-and-hold menu.

Deleting and hiding See how

Undo a deletion	“Undo” appears for a few seconds after you delete. Only if you leave it alone does the item actually go.
Mute by string	Register a string found in the URL or title, and matching items are hidden.
Mute by tag	Items carrying that tag are hidden.
Switch off without deleting	A mute rule can be turned off rather than removed, for when you want it back later.
Count of hidden items	Shown beneath the list. Tap it and Settings opens.

Carrying and copying See how

iCloud sync	It shows up on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. There is no sign-up step. See how
Weekly automatic backup	Everything is written as JSON into the Kakesu folder in iCloud Drive.
Export	Export the JSON whenever you like. Where it goes is up to you.
Import	Restore from JSON. URLs already present are skipped, never overwritten.

Keeping it from prying eyes See how

App Lock	Opening the app asks for Face ID / Touch ID, or your device passcode. Off by default.
Grace period on return	Coming back from a link you just opened does not trigger it. Only an absence of a minute or more does.
Cover in the App Switcher	The contents of your list do not appear in the app-switching screen.
No answers while locked	The Shortcuts “Search” gives no answer while the device is locked, or while App Lock is on. The widget shows only the count while App Lock is on.
What the lock covers	It covers the app’s screens only. The JSON copy in iCloud Drive stays readable from the Files app.

Using it from elsewhere

Unread widget	Puts the unread count on your Home Screen. The small size lists one recent title, the medium size up to three.
Widget while locked	While App Lock is on it shows the count only — no titles, no site names.
Shortcuts	“Save Bookmark” and “Search Bookmarks” can be called from the Shortcuts app and from Siri.
Shortcuts and mute	Search returns the same results as the list. Muted items are not returned.
Shortcuts while locked	While the device is locked, or while App Lock is on, Search gives no answer. Saving still works while locked (being able to throw something in is the whole point).

Everything else

Dark mode	Follows the iOS setting.
Text size	Follows the iOS text size setting.
Languages	Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
Terms and policy	Open the terms of use and the privacy policy from “About” in Settings.
Requirements	iOS 17.0 or later. Ask and Summary need a device that supports Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 or later).
